There comes a time.. Were a very select few smoke beings grow too powerful for their own good, and literally MUST be destroyed in order to keep peace and order and keep Ooo from being harmed. It is a rare case though, being of 3 in a 100 that get this sort of power. On a select year of a select day and even a select time.. The power is activated randomly and the being becomes rather "sick" as most beings think that is what it is, then being to sort of "leak" a liquified concentration of smoke through their mouthes, noses and eyes.. They become violent and angry, taking no orders and destroying nearly everything in their paths. The only way to stop them is to literally destroy them (or in other words, kill them). It's not an easy task though if you don't know HOW to kill them.. But the problem is they father power over a short period of time.. So you MUST be quick.
Dym is indeed one of the three out of one hundred that has this power, and once it becomes active somebody gonna have to bump her off (it not a matter of who does it, it's a matter of who the one is that will be with her during said time, day and year). It's slight heartbreaking for those who know her well and/or like her (or are in a relationship with her) but the gonna happen eventually.
For now, it lies dormant.
There is no known cure for stopping these beings once the power is activated.
And yes, Dym knows this will happen some day.
